Our Three Pillars

About Food Education

At our nurseries, we prepare all meals in-house. Our nutritionist carefully calculates the calories for each dish, and we provide a monthly meal newsletter to keep parents informed. Children get to see the ingredients before cooking, learn how meals are prepared, and experience the sounds and smells of cooking, all of which help prepare their bodies and minds to enjoy their meals.
The cooks and children interact face-to-face, sharing words and enjoying meals prepared with care and warmth. Even if a child is not fond of certain foods or rarely encounters them at home, eating together with friends helps them find these foods more enjoyable and easier to eat.
Children also learn proper table manners and how to use utensils such as spoons, forks, and chopsticks during mealtime.

Introduction of Solid Food
We begin introducing solid food around the age of 5 months.
During the initial stage of one meal a day, please provide solid food at home.
From around 8 months of age, when your child is ready for two meals a day, we will begin offering solid meals.
Meals are carefully prepared to match each child’s developmental stage, with attention to texture and portion size.
Introducing solid food too quickly can result in poor chewing habits, such as swallowing without properly mashing the food.
We aim to move forward gradually and gently, respecting each child’s pace.
About Snacks
Our snacks are primarily homemade each day.
The menu includes a variety of items such as bread, steamed sweet potatoes, pancakes, and traditional rice dumplings.
We take a holistic approach to planning the monthly menu.
On days when lunch is more substantial, we provide lighter snacks to keep a healthy balance.
On lighter lunch days, we may offer more filling options such as sandwiches or noodles.
Each snack is carefully prepared with attention to nutritional balance and overall dietary variety.

For Children with Food Allergies
For children with allergies, we work closely with parents and provide individualized support based on a doctor’s instructions. We carefully adjust menus and cooking methods to offer safe elimination or alternative meals, ensuring your child can eat happily and securely.
Please note that while our approach varies by facility, responses to allergies typically involve providing elimination/alternative meals or requiring parents to bring packed lunches.
